In the last 24 hours, the border police officers from the Borș I and Borș II Border Crossing Points, Bihor County, carried out a detailed control on two road complexes driven by a Turkish citizen and a Bulgarian citizen. Drivers were transporting various goods (car components, food, etc.) to companies in Hungary and Latvia.

Thirteen foreign nationals were discovered, hidden inside the cargo compartments, following the controls performed on the means of transport. During the preliminary checks, the border police established that they are citizens of Afghanistan and Iraq, aged between 16 and 43, asylum seekers in Romania.

Also, the border police officers from the Vărşand Border Crossing Point, Arad County, carried out a thorough control over four road complexes led by four Bulgarian citizens. Drivers transported textiles and plastics to various companies in Germany.
Thus, inside the cargo compartments were discovered hidden eighteen citizens from Afghanistan and Pakistan, aged between 17 and 29, asylum seekers in Romania.

Also at the Nădlac II Border Crossing Point, Arad County, the border police found hidden in a truck, driven by a Romanian citizen, five young people from Afghanistan, aged between 16 and 18, also asylum seekers. in Romania.

Also yesterday, around 13.00, the border guards from the Nădlac Border Police Sector noticed, approximately 100 meters from the border line, five people walking. As they did not justify their presence in the area, they were taken to the sector headquarters for checks. Following the investigations, it was established that there are four citizens of Yemen, aged between 20 and 31, guided by a 28-year-old citizen of the Republic of Moldova.

In all cases, the border guards carry out investigations in order to establish the entire criminal activity, and the necessary legal measures will be ordered upon completion.
