While the videogame people are preparing for the arrival of the Next-Gen, with PlayStation 5 e Xbox Series X/S ready to face each other at full speed, the complicated diatribe between Epic Games and Apple does not seem to want to stop. Among the latest events related to the issue, there is in particular the ban given to Fortnite which will last for a whole year, in fact preventing the Epic Games creature from being downloaded to any iOS device, a move that clearly dealt a severe blow to the company’s coffers.
Now, however, it is Epic who wants to take the counterattack, in fact stating that Apple has lied several times to place itself in an advantageous position in the legal situation that has arisen. Going into more detail, Apple has in fact declared that what Epic Games has done would be nothing more than a weird move to bring back Fortnite after this, again according to what the company said, would have seen a decrease of 70 between October 2019 and July 2020. % of interest from users. However, Epic has denied the claims of the rival, declaring that the real data rather they speak of a 39% increase in audience over the time period indicated by Apple.

Epic Games’ speech ended with the well-known CEO Tim Sweeney indulged in various charges against Apple, which would be eager to maintain its condition of total monopoly within the App Store, even at the cost of having to lie to the court. At this point, it will be very interesting to see how Apple itself will respond which, from what we have seen so far, does not seem absolutely willing to give itself up for a truce.
