It’s officially 3 years since Fortnite debuted. The anniversary of the game has many fans who are waiting for major events and rewards. Epic Games has yet to announce any news related to the 3rd anniversary, but gamers around the world are expecting Fortnite to drop some sort of surprise.
Fortnite by Epic Games is billed as the biggest Battle Royale around. The game was released in 2017 with Fortnite: Save the World, a survival shooter mode. Battle Royale mode came later and later Creative appeared.

The game has had its fair share of fond memories this year. Initially, everyone was expecting big changes and updates and the developers didn’t disappoint.
Fortnite has recorded an impressive number of viewers for the Travis Scott astronomical event. The global pandemic situation could have been a crucial factor. Nonetheless, the event was a huge success for the game and fans wanted more events of this type of the game.
Days later, fans were surprised to hear that the new Christopher Nolan trailer would make its in-game debut. The upcoming movie “Tenet” is one of the biggest projects of this year and the trailer airing on the game was a huge hyper for both parties.
Recently we have seen the water level drop in the game and the introduction of new DC superheroes and villains. Vehicles will also enter the game after allegedly being pushed further. The game looks strong and fans can surely expect more such events to unfold in the coming days.
Previous birthdays
The 3rd anniversary celebration marks the start of the game with Save the World mode. The third anniversary of Battle Royale mode is scheduled for September.
Last year, Save the World and Battle Royale had things in store for Fortnite’s anniversary. The date of the event was not constant. Last year was July 25th and fans are expecting something on the same date.
In previous years there were some challenges. Play 10 matches, dance in front of birthday cakes, and even have the chance to complete challenges and earn cosmetic rewards such as a pickaxe, wrap-around emoji, and a music pack.
Probability of the event taking place this year
Well, Epic hasn’t made much of the anniversary event this year. On the website, they advertised the Penny Birthday Squad; which is for Save the World. Additionally, perks were available in the Sploding Husks quest starting July 24.

- Commander’s Benefit: One Hot Minute +
- Decreases the cooldown of Plasma Pulse by 42%
There will, however, be no Birthday Lama for the year. Epic also announced that Llama’s birthday will make a comeback next year.
Other than that, it looks like there won’t be any other events this year. No information was found by the data miners and this leads us to believe that Epic has nothing planned. Perhaps we could see the celebration events drop in September to honor the Battle Royale mode in Fortnite.
