Formula E driver Daniel Abt uses an idiosyncratic way to cheat in the virtual “Race at Home Challenge” racing series, which takes place under the sign of the corona crisis. The German drove fellow countryman Lorenz Hörzing, who took third place in the race on Saturday.

In the course of this, the series removes all points from German, who will also donate 10,000 euros for charitable purposes. The Audi driver apologizes: “I didn’t take it as seriously as I should.”

Formula E colleague Stoffel Vandoorne already suspected that the German would not be sitting at the wheel. The two-time Formula E champion Jean-Eric Vergne asked Abt to show on video that he would participate in the race.
