Lando Norris from McLaren will start second for the first time in his life. Verstappen’s Red Bull teammate Sergio Pérez and reigning world champion Lewis Hamilton with a Mercedes will take the second row.

The 23-year-old Verstappen will attack the third triumph in a row in front of the full stands in Austria and also to increase the lead at the head of the championship. He is currently 18 points ahead of Hamilton, who last had pole position in early May in Spain.
