Mike Pence, who held the position of vice president in Donald Trump’s former US cabinet, is set to write two books. The 61-year-old politician will receive between 3 and 4 million dollars (2.5 to 3.4 million euros) for this job, reports CNN.
The books, in which Pence writes about his time in the White House, are published by Simon & Schuster. “The most important moments are discussed here,” says the American publisher.
“I am immensely grateful to be able to tell American citizens about my time as a politician,” said Pence. His first book is expected to be published in 2023.
Pence also announced on Wednesday that it would launch a new political platform to “defend the legacy of the Donald Trump administration.” Advancing American Freedom is also a stepping stone to his candidacy for the next presidential election, in 2024, according to Pence.
