Former Swiss pro Pirmin Lang in the doping trap

Former Swiss professional runner Pirmin Lang was part of the doping network of a German doctor, who was discovered during Operation Aderlass (bloodletting in French).

The network was revealed at the Nordic Ski Worlds last year.

The “Neuen Zürcher Zeitung” discovered the participation of the runner in the network. Faced with research from the newspaper, Lang (35) took a position on Twitter. “I defrauded my professional runner career. I was part of the Aderlass network. I lied and I am responsible for my actions.”

Lang ended his career at the end of the 2017 season and formed a team of young runners. He will abandon the management, he said.

Lang had worn for four years the colors of the Swiss team IAM Cycling, champion of anti-doping ,,,
