INDRAMAYU, KOMPAS.com – Former Regent Indramayu, West Java, Irianto MS Syafiuddin, died, Sunday (16/8/2020) at 09.15 WIB.

Irianto or as he was called Kang Yance died at the Indramayu Regional Hospital because he was suspected of having heart disease.

The deceased breathed his last at the age of 64.

Before he died, Irianto, who lived on Jalan Letnan Sutejo Indramayu, was ill, and was in critical condition around 09.00 WIB.

“He was admitted to the hospital at around nine in the morning. When he was taken he was also dead,” said Indramayu Kadinkes, Deden Bonni Koswara.

The Regent of Indramayu, Taufik Hidayat, did not expect the deceased to go.

Previously on Tuesday (11/8/2020), his party had met him and the condition of the deceased was healthy, not showing serious illness.

“The last time he met him was last Tuesday and he looked very healthy. Did not show any signs of serious illness. At that time he entrusted it to me to take care of the existing development to be improved. That’s his message,” he said.

Before he died, the deceased was also the Chairman of the DPD Indramayu Golkar Party 2004-2009, Chairman of the Golkar Party DPD West Java 2009-2014, Chairman of the 2014-2019 West Java DPRD and Regent of Indramayu for the two periods 2000-2005 and 2005-2010.

“He gave us knowledge. Whether it is social science, government science, or other sciences. Especially religious knowledge, he also taught us where he wakes us up every night together doing tahajud, remembrance of Allah for the safety of Indramayu , “explained Taufik.

Now, the deceased is buried in the backyard of his house in Jalan Letnan Sutejo Indramayu.

The deceased also left a wife, Anna Sophanah, who was also a former district head of Indramayu, and three children, Dinny Yuniarti Syafiyana, Daniel Muttaqien Syafiuddin, and Deani Iyeng Syafiyana.
