NEW YORK – Former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie will enter the presidential race on Tuesday of next week, sources told our sister network NBC News.
The Republican will make the announcement at a town hall in Manchester, New Hampshire.
Christie, after stumbling to a sixth-place finish in the 2016 New Hampshire primary, will give the White House effort a second chance. After dropping out of the race eight years ago, he endorsed Trump just days before Super Tuesday, giving Trump’s drive at the time a credible name.
This is developing news.
