Daniela Álvarez, Miss Colombia 2011, does not give up. The presenter and former beauty queen continues to move everyone on social networks after successfully undergoing the surgical process where her leg was amputated.
Álvarez’s life had a radical change after he had complications in his left leg, which changed the course of his history. His case shocked all of Colombia and the rest of Latin America, but thanks to his perseverance he managed to move forward and became an inspiration to many.
His life continues and through social networks he shows a little how he has adapted to the new condition. According to Daniela, the process has not been easy but she is still willing to continue moving forward.
Recently, he explained through his social networks how the medication process has been, after his amputation, noting that it has been strong but it is a battle in which he does not give up. “Being medicated has been one of the hardest things in my recovery,” she said.
Always surrounded by her family and with the support of her friends and followers, Daniela last June, used Instagram to, without losing her smile, show images of the amputation she suffered due to ischemia.

The model and former beauty queen led an active life, when on May 18, it was announced that Álvarez had undergone three emergency surgeries due to an abnormal mass in her abdomen that apparently became complicated and led to the amputation.
Álvarez said his fight began with what was expected to be a “supposedly simple” operation. However, he said, doctors noticed that the mass was very close to his aorta.
This was what led to a second and third surgical procedure. “And although the aorta was very good, it caused me an ischemia”, which is a kind of obstruction of blood flow and there was no alternative but to amputate my left foot.
However, the former Colombian queen has announced that she will use a prosthesis because she plans to continue doing sports and dancing.
