BELGRADE – The main foreign intelligence agency put pressure on Serbian Interior Minister Aleksandar Vulin about his attitude towards Russia and China.

The Serbian official revealed this on Saturday (23/7/2022). Vulin expects a major media campaign against him to begin this week.

“One of the largest intelligence agencies in the world, if not the largest, told me that my position was unacceptable and that if I didn’t change it and didn’t abandon the policies I was taking… then I wouldn’t be a member of the government and they would do everything to tarnished me,” Vulin told media outlet Pink.

He expects the media campaign against him to start next week. Despite the pressure, the minister said he refused to cooperate with foreign spies in any way.

“I have not worked and will not work for anyone except for the Serbian people, the Serbian state, and I will not be completely loyal to anyone, except the president of all Serbs, Aleksandar Vucic,” the minister said.

“The condition is that I start working for this foreign intelligence service. I wouldn’t do it, even at the cost of my own life.”

The minister also urged the country’s president to keep Serbia neutral, as well as maintain good relations with Russia and China, despite external pressure.
