photo; Ministry of Foreign Affairs– On October 12, 2020, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Latvia Edgars Rinkēvičs participated in the Foreign Affairs Council of the European Union (EU) in Luxembourg. The foreign ministers of the EU member states discussed the situation in Belarus and the security situation in Nagorno-Karabakh. Ministers also discussed EU-Russia relations, including possible EU action on human rights abuses in Russia in connection with the poisoning of opposition spokesman A. Navalny. The foreign ministers exchanged views and discussed the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue and also focused on Latin America and the Caribbean.
