Ford introduced a new generation F-150 pickup truck, which for the first time in its history received a modification with a hybrid power plant. The model also changed slightly externally and acquired new electronic “assistants”.
The car retained the design with a steel frame, and also received a body with an increased share of aluminum.
Changes in appearance are very slight, but all the body panels on the pickup are new. In addition, the automaker offers ample opportunities for personalization: a choice of 11 design options for the grille, various combinations of two-tone body color and rims ranging in size from 17 to 22 inches are available.
As for the interior, for the top versions, a fully digital dashboard and a 12-inch touchscreen display of the SYNC infotainment complex have become available.

The hybrid powerplant of the pickup truck included a 3.5-liter EcoBoost supercharged gasoline engine, which works with a 47-horsepower electric motor and a 1.5 kilowatt-hour traction battery. In addition, the line of units included previous turbo engines of 2.7 and 3.5 liters, five-liter aspirated V8, as well as six-cylinder diesels.
Serial production of the new Ford F-150 should begin in Michigan in October this year. The first buyers will receive cars at the end of 2020 or at the beginning of 2021.
