In second place is the Vice President of the United States Kamala Harris, in the third place is the head of the European Central Bank Christine Lagarde, the fourth is General Motors CEO Mary Barra, in fifth place – ex-wife of Microsoft founder Bill Gates Melinda French Gates.
Merkel did not include in the list after the resignation of the Chancellor of Forbes.
Representatives of Ukraine were not included in the Forbes rating.
In 2020 the top five of the rating includes Merkel, Lagarde, then running Vice President Harris, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and Melinda French Gates.
