The concert “Playful Music Sound Orchestra”, beloved by young listeners, returns to the stage of the Klaipėda Concert Hall (KKS) for its last performance. This musical performance is based on the motives of Richard Rodgers’ well-known musical “The Sound of Music”. The audience is invited to a concert with an engaging plot on March 23. Tickets for the 12 o’clock program are already sold out, but tickets for the 6:30 p.m. performance are still available.
The Playful Music Sound Orchestra is a special program designed for the whole family and involving participants of all ages. “This performance radiates warmth, hope, and beautiful music. The plot of the movie is well known to the parents, and at the concerts I see how they remember the songs they heard a long time ago, they tell the twists and turns of the familiar story to the children”, says director and actress Evelina Šimelionė.
The story of “The Sound of Music”, which is based on real facts, is known by whole generations. The musical, on the basis of which a musical film was built, became one of the most commercially successful productions in the history of cinema. E. Šimelionė says that she grew up with the songs of the movie “Sounds of Music”, and visited the locations of Salzburg that became the filming location several times. “In the musical performance, we will talk about the most important things – family, love, obedience to parents and, of course, music,” says E. Šimelionė.
The Lithuanian text for the musical was written by E. Šimelionė herself. Such songs as “My Favorite Things”, “Something Good”, “I have Confidence” received new Lithuanian names – “Dalykai mieli”, “Geri darbai”, “Pasitikiu savimi”. Laima Akstinaitė took care of the costumes and scenography of the theatrical concert. “We are working very sincerely with the entire creative team of the performance and I hope that the audience will appreciate our efforts as well,” says the director of the project.
The roles will be played by young generation professional actors Evelina Šimelionė, Gytis Šimelionis and the vocal ensemble of Klaipėda Vydūnas Gymnasium: Patricija Rubinaitė, Barbora Puidokaitė, Jokūbas Matvejevs, Adrijus Iljinas, Barbora Cirtautaitė, Teodoras Žilvinas Žilinskas, Mintare Rindzevičiūtė. The role of the smallest girl will be played by Solveiga Mikniūtė. The singing and acting team of the project will be accompanied by the Klaipėda Chamber Orchestra led by Mindaugas Bačkaus.
“I am convinced that the listeners who come to the concert will experience the brightest emotions and experience the joy that is spread by very beautiful music that is well known to everyone,” says E. Šimelionė and invites the listeners to the “Playful Music Sound Orchestra” concert on March 23. 12:00 and 18:30 KKS
