A document prepared by the Office of the World Health Organization in Egypt revealed the distribution of cases of the emerging coronavirus (Covid 19) in the Egyptian governorates until May 1.
According to the World Health Document, Cairo ranked first in the governorates to record infections with Corona virus, followed by Giza Governorate, then Alexandria, Qaliubiya, Menoufiya, Damietta, Luxor, Beni Suef, Gharbia, Aswan, Qena, Dakahlia, Beheira, Port Said, Fayoum, Red Sea, Sharkia, Kafr El-Sheikh, Assiut, Minya, Sohag, South Sinai, Matrouh, New Valley, Ismailia, Suez.
The Matrouh Governorate came in the last order of the governorates that recorded cases of corona, and at that time the organization had not approved the presence of one infected case in North Sinai Governorate.
All governorates of the Republic recorded cases of the emerging corona virus, after North Sinai continued without infection since the beginning of the crisis in mid-February.
The total number that was registered in Egypt with the new Corona virus as of Sunday, 6465 cases, including 1562 cases that were cured and discharged from isolation and quarantine hospitals, and 429 deaths.
Two officials at the WHO office confirmed to Masrawy the document.
