For the benefit of motorists: almost 100 sections of national roads are being repaired BNN

Road repairs are currently taking place on 96 national road sections. Therefore VAS Latvian State Roads (LVC) urges drivers to take into account traffic restrictions and plan their trips in a timely manner.

Repair works on the bridge over Mazo Jugla on the Riga bypass A4 (Baltezers – Saulkalne) will continue. Traffic there may be slowed down, drivers are encouraged to use other routes as much as possible.

Traffic is also slowed down on the Tallinn highway (A1) Saulkrasti bypass repair phase, it may take an hour to leave, as there is one traffic light section and three others are regulated by priority road signs, as well as a speed limit of 70 and 50 km / h. . This week it is planned to close the traffic for a few days, driving in the direction of Tallinn and driving from the Tallinn highway to the road Saulkrasti – Bīriņi (V39) and exiting from the highway V39 to the Tallinn highway, and then – to the same exits driving in the direction of Riga.

Construction works are taking place on the Daugavpils highway (A6) in the section from Salaspils to Ikšķile, the speed limit in the work area is 70 km / h. On the section of the carriageway in the direction of Riga from Ikšķile to the intersection with the Riga bypass A4 (Baltezers – Saulkalne), one of the two lanes will be closed to traffic alternately. It is planned that both lanes of the carriageway will be open to traffic at night.

Also on the Jelgava highway (A8) in the section from Jaunolaine to the bridge over the Missis, traffic is organized one by one, in the direction of Jelgava one lane in each direction. Also during this phase of road repair, extra time should be planned, especially on weekday mornings and evenings, the road can take up to 40 minutes.

On regional roads, the most temporary traffic lights are on the highway Pūri – Auce – Grīvaiši (P96) in the section from Pūri in the direction of Auce to Penkule – there are eight temporary traffic lights, and it will take an hour and 20 minutes to complete all repairs.

In turn, four sections of traffic lights are on the highway Ventspils – Kuldīga – Saldus (P108) in a 20-kilometer-long section, starting from Ventspils in the direction of Kuldīga, where you have to count on an hour on the way.

The country is experiencing an active construction season, with construction taking place on almost 100 road sections. Drivers are invited to follow the traffic organization and traffic light signals during the construction stages.
