For seven years, he attracted intimate photos from schoolgirls, the police accused a man from Olomouc

Police detained the man last November. At that time, she registered seven victims in five years. During the investigation, it became clear that the accused had committed the crime for a long time, and the number of schoolgirls he had blackmailed was added.

Police spokeswoman Soňa Štětínská said on Wednesday that her colleagues had accused the men of several crimes, such as sexual coercion, production of child pornography, extortion and seduction. “The accused is in custody and can spend up to 12 years in prison,” the spokeswoman said.

According to the police, the man had to systematically search for and contact the girls from 2012 until last year. “He established communication with them, during which he professed affection and love for these girls. If it was mutual, then he demanded from them, as a manifestation of their affection and love, to send intimate materials in the form of photographs and videos, which the girls did, “said the forensic scientist Ondřej Vaněk earlier.

If the girls refused to communicate with him further, he allegedly began blackmailing them. He was to threaten to publish the intimate materials sent so far on social networks and send them to their friends and family members. One of the girls had been in contact with the man for about four years.

The man never met the girls who were from all over the republic. The accused lived alone, did not work and has not yet been prosecuted for similar crimes. He was prosecuted only for property crime.

The girls he chose at random were of different types. The determining criterion for selection was mainly their age. One of the girls from the Moravian-Silesian Region finally, after several weeks of communication with the accused man, reported everything to her parents, who then turned to the police.

According to the police, the parents of the schoolgirls should be careful. “It is necessary to realize that the Internet is an open medium, it can be accessed by anyone and from anywhere. There is de facto no control. It also brings with it the second thing, which is anonymity, anyone can pretend to be anyone, “Vaněk reminded.

According to him, parents should keep in mind that children are exposed to danger on the Internet, similar to, for example, on the street. “If the parents do not communicate with the children and do not inform them of all the dangers they may encounter on the Internet, it is the same as if they let them fly down the street in the evenings without any supervision,” he said.
