For Rent Mining Company, Garuda Indonesia To Deploy Boeing and Bombardier

Liputan6.com, Jakarta – Coal mining company PT Putra Perkasa Abadi (PPA) chartered or leased aircraft belonging to the national airline PT Garuda Indonesia Tbk. This step is to transport 7 thousand workers to the site or mine and vice versa.

The agreement was formalized through the signing of a collaboration between Garuda Indonesia and Putra Perkasa Abadi, represented by the President Director of Garuda Indonesia Irfan Everyutra and the President Director of Putra Perkasa Abadi Christianto Setyo at Hangar 2 GMF AeroAsia, Thursday (12/8/2020).

Through this signing, Garuda Indonesia will provide charter flight services as required crew rotation Putra Perkasa Abadi, using Boeing 737-800 and Bombardier CRJ-1000 aircraft. “The routes are served from and to Surabaya, Banjarmasin, Balikpapan, Semarang, Yogyakarta and Samarinda,” said Irfan Everyutra.

Irfan also said, if the aircraft charter sector is a business focus that continues to be developed amid the conditions of the COVID-19 pandemic. Given that charter flight services are currently one of the main options for the oil and gas and mining industry sectors that require flexibility in air transportation services for the mobility needs of their workforce.

So, do not rule out, Garuda Indonesia opens up opportunities for other mining companies operating in Indonesia, to collaborate on aircraft charters, for a safer company trip and ensure the health of their passengers.

“This is because according to the regulations of the Ministry of Transportation, normal commercial flights can only be filled 70 percent, while charter planes can be 100 percent filled. Provided they are in the same community and charterers ensure the health of clients,” said Irfan.
