The low-cost ticket operation has started on the SNCF site. For two days, 500,000 tickets will be sold at 19 euros to travel in Ouigo until November 2.
From today until September 3 at midnight, 500,000 one-way tickets will be sold at 19 euros on the SNCF site. These reservations concern trips in Ouigo between September 8 and November 2.
Travelers will be able to visit the 41 destinations covered by Ouigo. Sure his site, SNCF point out that these promotional tickets are subject to the same rules as those at normal prices. They are cancellable, exchangeable and refundable free of charge up to 1h30 before departure.
This operation aims to attract customers to the train in a very complicated period. After confinement, travel resumed at a normal level during the summer. SNCF carried 8 million passengers in July.
For August, figures have not yet been released, but they could reach 8.5 million travelers, or 16.5 million passengers for the two summer months. Usually 20 million people travel by train during this period and 25 million including TER.
