Terrapins Tackle Rare Diseases with Annual Lift for Life
The Maryland Terrapins football team gears up for its annual Lift for Life event on July 1st. This significant initiative rallies support and raises funds for rare disease research, showcasing the team’s dedication to leveraging their platform for a cause beyond the gridiron.
Fundraising Focus
The Maryland Football Chapter of Uplifting Athletes proudly announces the return of its Lift for Life event. This event stands as a central element in the team’s endeavor to make a tangible difference. The Terrapins are aiming to raise $10,000 during this year’s event, providing crucial backing for the rare disease community.
To amplify the fundraising, team leaders Ethan Gough and Daniel Owens will allow the two highest donors to shave their heads. All donations made go towards Uplifting Athletes’ mission to help find cures and treatments for those affected by rare diseases.
“Uplifting Athletes has given us the opportunity to contribute to something far greater than football,” said Gough. “Our goal to raise $10,000 for rare disease research. Supporting the search for cures and treatments is a cause that truly matters. I’m excited to see the incredible impact Terp Nation will make for this mission!”
