Ronald Koeman is expected to take over Barcelona shortly, it could open up an opportunity for the former Arsenal manager.
Late Monday night reports Dutch Fox Sports that the former Arsenal manager can make a comeback as a football coach soon.
The channel reports that Arsène Wenger has contacted the Dutch Football Association (KNVB) and expressed his interest in the job as the country’s new national team coach.
It is expected that current boss Ronald Koeman will take over the vacant coaching job in Barcelona shortly.

Journalist Jan Joost van Gangelen reported directly on Monday night during the Europa League broadcast in the Netherlands that he had been informed that the Arsenal legend had expressed interest in the job.
– It looks like Arsène Wenger has contacted KNVB, said van Gangelen.
Wenger has been the head of global football development for FIFA recently. He resigned as manager of Arsenal in 2018 after 22 years at the helm of the London club.

The 70-year-old stated earlier in August that he would not rule out a return to the managerial profession more than two years after he left Arsenal. Now it may seem that the Frenchman has taken the plans one step further and expressed interest in the Netherlands job.
“Every day I want to train, I have done it all my life,” Wenger told Europe 1.
– I’m 70 years old and I gave everything. Should I play some Russian roulette, even if it’s about my health? I can not do things halfway, so I ask myself that question, the French continued.

In Barcelona, Koeman will already be in final negotiations to take over the job at Camp Nou after that Quique Setien was fired on Monday.
Barcelona went on a humiliating 8-2 loss against Bayern Munich in the quarter-finals of the Champions League last week, which should have made the management of the Catalan club take action immediately.
Former Everton and Southampton manager Koeman was quickly singled out as a potential candidate and the former Barcelona player is expected to be introduced shortly.
Reports from France indicated last week that Wenger himself had refused to replace Setien in Barcelona, but that a coaching job for a national team was more relevant, which can now become a reality.
