Football player Král used FIFA rules and suspended his contract at Spartak Moscow

Football midfielder Alex Král took advantage of the amended rule of the international FIFA federation and suspended his contract with Spartak Moscow until the end of June 2023. The press department of the Russian club informed the Interfax agency about this. The new engagement of the Czech representative is still unclear.

The 24-year-old Král transferred to the team from the Russian capital in the summer of 2019 from Slavia Prague. He spent last season on loan at West Ham alongside defender Vladimír Coufal and midfielder Tomáš Souček. However, he played only six competitive matches in the “Hammers” jersey, remaining on the bench in the vast majority of matches. Now he is looking for a new place of work.

Foreign footballers working in Russian and Ukrainian clubs can terminate their contracts until June 30, 2023. Last month, FIFA decided to extend the deadline, which after the invasion of Russian troops in Ukraine in February allowed foreigners to terminate their contracts initially only until the end of this June.

Last week, another Czech representative, Jan Kuchta, left for Sparta on a one-year loan with an option from Lokomotiv Moscow, where he transferred from the team of Sparta’s arch-rival Slavia in January of this year. However, unlike the King, the 25-year-old attacker did not use FIFA rules.
