Football Manager Secures Landmark Partnership wiht FIFA
LONDON, UK – Sports Interactive’s Football Manager franchise has announced a multi-year partnership with FIFA, bringing official licenses for FIFA’s premier competitions – including the FIFA World Cup 26, FIFA Women’s World Cup, and FIFA Club World Cup – to the game for the first time, starting with Football Manager 26 (FM26).
The collaboration marks a significant milestone for both organizations, enhancing the realism and immersion of Football Manager’s internationally focused gameplay. A revamped International Management module, slated for release as a content update for FM26 next year, will coincide with the licensed content. This update will feature the official kits of all 48 teams participating in the FIFA World Cup 26, alongside authentic broadcast graphics and tournament branding.
“Revealing this partnership with FIFA is an incredibly historic moment for the studio,” said Miles Jacobson, Studio Director at Sports Interactive. “Heading into a World Cup year, revamping International Management and making it a much more feature-rich module for our players was vital. To be able to do that with the support of FIFA with an official licence, giving us the tournament broadcast graphics and tournament kits in-game, is a real honor and something we’re delighted our fans will be able to experience next year. And this is just the start of our relationship - stay tuned for more to come in 2026 and beyond.”
The partnership signifies a deepening relationship between the virtual and real worlds of football, offering players an unprecedented level of authenticity within the popular management simulation. The inclusion of FIFA’s official competitions is expected to further solidify Football Manager’s position as the leading football management game.
