Freiburg (dpa / lsw) – Midfielder Janik Haberer will probably also miss SC Freiburg in the home game against Bayer 04 Leverkusen on Friday (8.30 p.m. / DAZN and Amazon Prime). The 26-year-old had been hit on the ankle in the 0-1 victory against Bremen and was recently missing in the away game in Frankfurt. At the end of the English week “it may well be that we change positions,” said SC coach Christian Streich on Thursday.
That could also affect national team player Luca Waldschmidt, who obviously couldn’t quite understand his substitution in Frankfurt. “He wasn’t so happy about it,” Streich confirmed. He had therefore first explained the reasons that included the striker’s long break from injury. “That’s why he played very little, and considering that, I was happy with his performance,” said the SC coach.
