This Sunday afternoon, on the occasion of the Sion-LS derby, the scene of the 12th minute plunged Tourbillon into fear. It made a victim, the defender of Lausanne-Sport Mickaël Nanizayamo (22 years), remained lying on the ground, inanimate, following an aerial and fortuitous shock with his goalkeeper Mory Diaw. Very quickly, the referee, players and spectators were aware of the gravity of what had just happened.
After receiving first aid on the ground and notably having been fitted with a neck brace, the Frenchman was taken care of by the emergency services in the corridors of the stadium before being immediately transported to the nearby hospital by ambulance. The evacuation of the injured required the interruption of the game for about ten minutes, which was to force its actors to resume their warm-up by performing some stretching …

In the middle of the evening, the news coming from the hospital of Sion was nevertheless rather reassuring given what one could fear in view of the images and the violence of the shock. According to an initial medical check-up, Nanizayamo suffers from a head trauma which led to a temporary loss of consciousness.
The neurological examinations he underwent, including a CT scan, did not seem to reveal anything abnormal or of concern. As a precaution, the former Tours player, however, had to stay in the hospital to spend a night under observation before being able to return to Lausanne, probably on Monday.
For the N ° 37 de la Tuilière, who had played 19 matches in the Super League so far, the season is already over. It is of course too early to know what will happen to the rest of his career, regarding the possible consequences that such a concussion could entail.
