But while the FFF, via a letter from Noël Le Graët on Thursday evening, decided to suspend all football activity on French territory pending the end of this health crisis, some pro clubs have chosen to continue the training sessions. This is particularly the case of OM, which on the other hand took the decision to close its training center. Choices explained by Jacques-Henri Eyraud.
“We must do everything to make this crisis pass as quickly as possible. For this, it is the precautionary principle that must be imposed on all of us. We have set up a new organization, we have decided to put a large number of employees to telework, to organize very limited offices within La Commanderie, to limit access to outsiders. For the sports building, each person who may have to enter it is taken to take his temperature. The professional team? For the time being, we have decided to continue to organize training sessions for the professional team. For now, and over the coming week, there will be four sessions. We’ll give players a bit of a long weekend to rest. We will revisit this decision according to the evolution of the epidemic and also what will happen at European level. As for the rest and the championship, it is certain that the priority for the players in football today is first of all the health crisis which affects us all, and football must take second place, it is obvious. Afterwards, I think that for many players there is nevertheless the desire to finish this championship, but when? There are matches to be postponed and the calendar is coming to an end.
