Espanyol Barcelona have decided to thank their coach Abelardo who will be replaced by Rufete. Espanyol Barcelona announced this Saturday its choice to separate from its coach Abelardo, appointed last December to replace Pablo Machin. “The club took this decision following the sporting performances of the first team and with the clear desire to save the place of the Blues and Whites in La Liga”, justifies Espanyol in a press release. In the process, the club formalized the appointment of Francisco Joaquin Pérez Rufete, the current sports director who will coach the team until the end of the season, in another statement. Espanyol, last in the ranking, must face Real Madrid this Sunday at home as part of the 32nd day of the Championship.
