Folk singer Arno Sloot passed away, hero of the ‘kloempestoemper repertoire’

Folk singer Arno Sloot from Sint-Michielsgestel died of cardiac arrest on Friday. Record company Smaragd reports this on its Facebook page.

“We have just received the sad message that Arno Sloot passed away this morning. We wish family, friends and relatives a lot of strength and strength in processing this loss,” said the record company.

Arno Sloot says he made songs from the Dutch-language kloempestoemper repertoire. Cheerful music with a high sing-along and hook-up level. He performed in the Omroep Brabant program Hart voor Muziek.

He also made several songs together with singer Jan Biggel from Liempde, including ‘We go on step’. They made recordings for the video clip in a fountain full of foam on the roundabout at Plein 1944 in Schijndel. Humor gets you everywhere, that was the motto of the two.

Jan reacts with sadness to the loss of his friend. “Sometimes you try to find words to express your feelings and then you discover that certain feelings cannot be expressed in words. I got to know Arno as a buddy, friend and colleague. Someone I have a lot of fun with to experience.”

“Arno was therefore a beautiful and exceptional person with a big heart,” he continues. “That’s why I will cherish the time I was able to experience with him and that he will always have a special place in my heart. Arno, you were my buddy and forever in my heart, friend.”

Arno fans are also shocked about his death. “Damn Arno, what are you doing to us?”, someone writes. “I admired your music and your videos on Facebook and when we ran into each other before going on stage it was always laughing, howling, howling. Rest in peace, friend.”

And another fan: “Suddenly I hear that you are gone. I am shocked to the maximum. In my eyes you have handled your life to the maximum, but it should not have stopped like this. Later, friend and entertainer.”
