(Togo First) – In Togo, the FoDA business development training program, an initiative launched in collaboration with GIZ to help young entrepreneurs develop their skills and create their own business, wants to ensure the quality of its training.
Monday, April 24, in Lomé, the results of the certification process for the facilitators of this program were presented, after the implementation of this process, in order to guarantee the quality of this training tool for young entrepreneurs.
Essodina Atcholadi, pedagogical director at the ministry in charge of technical education, specified that the facilitators will be regularly subjected to evaluations, to guarantee their performance. “The process of setting up a FoDA facilitation technical certification process is explained by the concern to guarantee the quality of the tool. There are several training tools, and if we want to guarantee the quality of the tool, those responsible for training young people in entrepreneurship must themselves be of high quality. Throughout the performance of their duties, they will undergo evaluations to ensure that they are still performing well. »he explained.
Business development training includes three main components: initiation to entrepreneurship, the development of business plans and the creation and management of businesses.
“It’s a tool that offers different training modules for entrepreneurship. It is intended to strengthen the skills of young people as well as to support them in the creation of their business. “, noted André Rönne, program manager for sustainable economic development at the German cooperation agency, GIZ.
Since its launch three years ago, the FoDA program has reached 14,000 young people, allowing them to benefit from coaching sessions in sectors such as agriculture, crafts and agribusiness. FoDA thus contributes to the fight against youth unemployment and to strengthening entrepreneurial capacities in Togo.
