Florida among the 10 best states to live in the United States, according to study

A study published by the journal U.S. News & World Report ranked Florida as one of the 10 best states to live in the United States.

According to the magazine, the leaderboard, which has Washington at the top and Florida in tenth place, is the result of the analysis of “thousands of data” statistics on the performance of states with respect to citizens.

Some of the main parameters analyzed to determine the result of the ranking are health, education, economy, infrastructure, opportunities, crime and punishment, fiscal stability and access to nature.

Among the parameters with the most weight for the survey, medical care and education were taken into consideration. Florida It has a high index in health (25 points), however it falls a lot in education, where it acquired only 3, its lowest parameter.

The next most important aspects paid attention to the economy, infrastructure (roads, bridges, internet), fiscal stability and opportunities for its residents. In the latter Florida it obtained a high score of 33 points, which is followed by 20 in infrastructure and 8 in fiscal stability and economy.

The Sunshine State obtained its highest rating in terms of law and corrections (26 points), which qualifies it as a safe state.

This year’s survey gave considerable weight to data related to the pandemic of Covid-19, by including not only health, but also the behavior of the state in terms of its resistance to the economic crisis unleashed by the pandemic.
