Florence. A man threatens residents in the street with a knife

An individual was arrested early Wednesday afternoon in the streets of Florange, after threatening residents with a knife. A few minutes earlier, around 1 p.m., he got out of a bus on rue Nationale, then verbally attacked the people who were waiting at the stop. He was seen with a Koran in his hand. The terrorist track is however excluded.

The man, well known to the police, is a resident of the Adoma home in Florange. Marginal, drug addict, he would suffer from mental disorders. He was taken into custody at the Thionville police station.
