Stewardesses smuggled iPhones

They hid mobile phones in cases with food, garbage bags and in the design features of the aircraft cabin.

The border guards at the Boryspil airport exposed the flight attendants of one of the Ukrainian airlines who were smuggling mobile phones into Ukraine. This was announced on Friday, September 24, by the press service of the State Border Service.

According to law enforcement officers, flight attendants of one of the Ukrainian airlines hid mobile phones in cases with food, garbage bags and in the design features of the aircraft cabin. Subsequently, representatives of the cleaning companies had to take the accessories out of the checkpoint without going through any control under the guise of servicing the aircraft and preparing it for the next flight.

It is noted that law enforcement officers exposed an illegal transaction, so the plan was not implemented.

“According to the results of the inspection of the aircraft, which arrived at the Boryspil airport from Dubai, 85 devices of Apple brand were found. Among them: iPhone 12 Pro Max, iPhone XS, iPhone XR, One Plus Nord, MacBook Pro”, – said in the message.

Previously, about 10 people, citizens of Ukraine, were involved in the scheme. According to preliminary information, the sum of the goods’ appraisal reaches 100 thousand US dollars.

It was previously reported that customs officers at Boryspil airport “covered” contraband… They imposed a “tribute” on businessmen for assistance in customs clearance of goods.

We will remind, at the Kiev customs intercepted consignment of expensive electric vehicles contraband… It was shipped from China to European countries under the guise of sports equipment.
