Gérard Loussignian, president of the Association of Armenians of Gers, came to talk about his personal experience, his career, and more generally about a whole people, very difficult to define. Of course, there was talk of the 1915 genocide, but also of the reception in our department of 193 orphans in the years 1923-1924. The Treaties of Sèvres and Locarno, which gave birth to an independent Armenia, buried the latter by ratifying the Soviet takeover. The sequel is just as exciting, told by Gérard Loussignian. Today, what do the 3 million Armenians weigh next to Iran, Russia and its allies, and Turkey? Who are their friends? Who cares ?
