Flemish drag queen wins second season of ‘Drag Race Holland’: “This is unbelievable!” | showbiz

TVA first in ‘Drag Race Holland’. For the first time, a Flemish trans woman can call herself the winner of the popular game program. Vanessa van Cartier was chosen as the most talented drag queen of the second season, thus becoming the successor to Envy Peru. Those who like to watch the match themselves can now do so on the Dutch streaming platform Videoland.

“This is unbelievable. I believe: never stop dreaming. And as I always say: Don’t dream it, be it!’ I am very happy!” said the winner. Fun fact: Vanessa is the drag dam of Envy Peru, who won the first season.

Vanessa van Cartier was by the way the only Flemish queen this year. Just like last year, when that honor was reserved for Sederginne. She took sixth place after she finished her lip sync lost to Abby OMG. Vanessa – also the very first trans woman in ‘Drag Race Holland’ fared a lot better in this match. With her win, Vanessa is also following in the footsteps of other international trans ‘Drag Race’ greats such as Kylie Sonique Love – who won All Stars 6 this year – and the winner of the second season of Drag Race Thailand, Angele Anang.
