Zamalek’s board of directors is studying a proposal to run in the top match against Al-Ahly with a team of youth club, after a source in the White Castle confirmed that the board of directors is considering the leadership of Ahmed Abdel Maqsoud, the coach of the team born in 2001 of the match, to seek the assistance of some of the players of the teams born in 1999 and 2000.
The summit match between Al-Ahly and Zamalek is scheduled to take place, within the fourth week’s tournaments, at 7:30 pm on Monday.
Al-Ahly tops the league with 45 points, while Zamalek occupies third place with 31 points.
The fact that the youths attended the summit match is not the first in the history of the two sides’ confrontations, but before that was preceded by a similar incident several years ago.
Crisis before the summit
In the 1985 season, a dispute occurred between Mahmoud Al-Gohary, Al-Ahly’s coach, and Saleh Selim, the club’s president, 10 days before confronting Zamalek in the cup, when the matter developed, with Al-Gohary advancing with his resignation.

On the other hand, Zamalek played in its full ranks, and only Ibrahim Youssef and Adel El-Sherif were absent from the match at the time.
Match events
Al-Ahly managed to beat Zamalek in that match with 3 goals for two goals, after the original time ended in a 2-2 draw, and Al-Ahly team Hamada Marzouk scored in the 3rd minute, before Farouk Jaafar equalized for Zamalek in the 4th minute.
In the second half, Mohamed El Sayed scored the second goal for the family before Kawarchi tied for Zamalek, and Al-Ahly managed to score the winning goal through Tariq Khalil by the fifth minute of the first additional time.
And before the final whistle, Ahmed Shoueber tackled a penalty kick, which was scored by Said El-Jaddi, Zamalek player in the eighth minute of the first additional half, and overtime witnessed the dismissal of Ayman Younis, Zamalek player.
Al-Ahly then completed his way in the cup championship and beat the arsenal in the semi-final match to face Ismaili and win in the final and crown the title.
