FIX! Special Detachment 88 Officially Detains Munarman in the Alleged Terrorist Crime Case

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.TV- After completing the initial investigation after arresting and detaining the former general secretary of the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) Munarman as a suspect, finally the Special Detachment 88 Anti-terror Police officially detained him on suspicion of a terrorist crime.

Previously, the police had 21 x 24 hours to prove Munarman’s involvement in the alleged terrorist crime.

“(Munarman) has now been detained,” said Police Public Relations Division Head Inspector General Pol Argo Yuwono at Police Headquarters, Jakarta, Monday (17/5/2021).

According to Argo, Munarman’s detention was after the suspect underwent questioning since his arrest on April 27, 2021. He was temporarily detained at Polda Metro Jaya. According to him, Munarman’s detention was carried out since May 7, 2021 yesterday.

“On May 7 yesterday, I was arrested,” said Argo, as quoted from Tribunnews.

Previously, the Attorney General’s Office of the Republic of Indonesia stated that it had received the Notification Letter for the Commencement of Investigation (SPDP) on the suspect, former general secretary of the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) Munarman, Wednesday (5/5/2021).
