A young Leeds United fan is committed to keeping his favorite player Ben White from the Championship club. In a letter, five-year-old Daniel has offered all his savings to Brighton & Hove Albion, which White is leasing to Leeds this season.
“Can we please please please buy Ben at the end of the season. I counted all the money in my piggy bank to get £ 15.07. Hopefully this will help,” writes Daniel in the letter sent to Brighton.
Daniel received a letter back from Brighton, but was disappointed. “We have thought seriously about your nice offer, but I know that our manager and technical director considers Ben to be a very important part of our future,” said Chairman Paul Barber.
“So I’m afraid we won’t be able to sell Ben to Leeds. It’s good that you want to spend all your money to help your club and you clearly have an eye for exceptional talent, so maybe scout is your future job. “
Both Brighton and White make an appeal on Twitter to get in touch with Daniel’s family, who are likely to look forward to meeting his idol once deemed safe in the corona crisis.
White is one of the strongholds of Leeds this season, which ranks second at the second tier in England. The 22-year-old defender may have already played his last game for the club as the season may not be able to resume. It will remain in Brighton until the summer of 2022.
