Reiner Tümmers is involved in various carnival clubs in Krefeld, and he is an active member of the Princess’ Life Guard (West Guard). Therefore “it is natural for me to support our future royal couple”. No sooner said than done: The specialist for heating and plumbing will be available to the Krefeld greatnesses in the coming session as Minister for “Water and whatever else loope mot”.
On Tuesday afternoon, the Crefelder Carneval Committee (CCCC), President: Peter Bossers, invited to the Dachsbau on Hubertusstraße to introduce the future ministers of the Krefeld royal couple Dirk II and Nadine I. The Bluebloods are members of the West Guard, which is celebrating its 90th anniversary next year.

Just like Minister Tümmers, Klaus Minten has been foolish for a long time. In 1992 he joined the carnival society “Kalla Männekes”; until 2002 he was President of the session. And now he acts as Minister for “Contacts and Penunsen.” Ingo Mertens grew up in the youth of Teutonia St. Tönis and was immediately “fire and flames” when Prince Dirk II, who is his work colleague, asked him whether he wants to be his minister for “beautiful things and Ferkesfreud”. Herbert Ten Eyken joined KG Krefeld Süd at the age of 18, often commented on the Shrove Monday procession and also makes music as “DJ Herby”. It was clear then that a dream had come true for him when Princess Nadine I asked him to become Minister for “Orders and Musical Nonsense”.

Michael Dickhaut comes from Korschenbroich and has been in Krefeld since 2010. Already at the age of five he played the “Trömmelche” in Mönchengladbach-Hockstein. Later he was active in the drummer corps and in the Hockstein naval group. And now he is Minister for “Good mood and Wiet kieke.” One thing is very clear: All five Ministers obviously carry the “carnival gene” and are therefore ideally suited for their posts.

Interesting dates for the West Guard and the royal couple are soon on the agenda: The West Guard invites you to a guard bivouac in front of the Kaiser Wilhelm Museum on September 9th and 10th; The tapping of the keg is at 6 p.m., the event starts at 7 p.m. The regimental roll call of the Prince Guard will take place on November 5th at 7 p.m. in the Stadtwaldhaus. And next year on January 13, 7 p.m., Dirk II. and Nadine I. look forward to their prince proclamation in the Seidenweberhaus.
