In Loches, in the center of France, five people died on Saturday in a collision between two small planes. This has been communicated by the prefecture of the department of Indre-et-Loire.
The accident involved a small ULM (ultralight motor aircraft) and a tourist aircraft of the type DA40. The ULM had two people on board, the other aircraft had three occupants.
The collision took place just before 5 pm. None of the five occupants survived the accident. The microlight ended up on the roof of a house in Loches, but there were no additional victims. The cause of the accident is not yet clear.
