Five Borussia Dortmund Players Named to Germany Squad – Nmecha Returns
Dortmund, Germany – Five players from Borussia Dortmund have been included in the latest Germany national team roster for upcoming Euro 2024 qualifying matches, the DFB (German Football Association) announced today. Notably, midfielder Felix Nmecha has been recalled to the national team after last being selected by national team coach Julian Nagelsmann in June.
The nominations underscore Dortmund’s meaningful contribution to the German national program and provide a boost for the club as its players prepare to represent their country on the international stage. Nmecha’s return adds further depth to the midfield options available to Nagelsmann as Germany aims to secure qualification for the tournament next summer.
Alongside Nmecha, defenders Nico Schlotterbeck and Marius Wolf, and also midfielders Emre Can and Julian Brandt have also been selected. Germany will face Luxembourg on Friday, October 10th at 8:45 p.m., followed by a match against Northern Ireland on Monday, October 13th, also at 8:45 p.m. Both matches are crucial as Germany continues its qualifying campaign for Euro 2024.
