Wednesday will start cloudy and dry, but soon the chance of rain will increase. “The southerly wind is picking up”, says a spokesman for Weerplaza. “Then there will be a moderate to strong wind of force 6 along the coast.”
A day later, on Thursday, the wind really plays the leading role in the weather picture. “Then there will be a serious disturbance right above our country”, said the spokesman. From the southwest to the west, a very strong wind is coming, with force 8 along the coast. “Tipping at storm force 9 in the Wadden area.”

At sea, very strong gusts of wind of up to 100 to 110 kilometers per hour are expected. The gusts of wind are also very annoying above land, but they measure up to about 75 kilometers per hour. Weerplaza advises removing loose items in the garden, such as plastic garden chairs and pots. “And if you have planned to move, don’t go on the road with an empty trailer.”

Even after Thursday the wind will remain strong, although the force of the gusts will decrease. On Friday and Saturday the wind is still blowing. On Sunday and next Monday the wind will decrease somewhat, but it will still vary with occasional showers, with average temperatures for the time of the year. We cannot enjoy really nice spring weather for the time being.
