The first repatriation flight with Dutchmen stranded in Morocco is en route to the Netherlands. Minister of Foreign Affairs Stef Blok reports this on Twitter on Sunday.
The plane, a Boeing 767 of travel organization TUI, has departed from the Moroccan coastal city of Casablanca and will land in Amsterdam around 0:30, according to Blok.
In total, about three thousand Dutch people have been detained in Morocco since the country took measures to curb the spread of the coronavirus. Until Sunday it was not possible to get stranded Dutch people home.
