A health worker (nakes) who served in the Emergency Hospital (RSD) Athlete’s House Kemayoran died in a condition exposed to Covid-19.
He died after more than a week of being treated in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) due to exposure to Covid-19.
“One of our health workers who died of Covid, has been treated in the ICU for more than a week,” said the Coordinator of Public Relations of the Covid-19 Hospital of Wisma Atlet, Lt. Col. TNI M. Arifin in his statement, Thursday (24/6).
Arifin said this was the first incident of a health worker on duty at Wisma Atlet who died due to Covid-19.
It is known, Wisma Atlet was officially used as an RSD for handling Covid-19 after it was inaugurated by President Joko Widodo in March 2020.
“This is the health worker who died for the first time due to Covid while this RSDC was established,” said Arifin.
Furthermore, Arifin said that his party would hold a final tribute in tower 1 of Wisma Atlet to be brought to Cilacap.
“The final tribute will later be held and brought to Cilacap,” he said.
