“First MacBooks with Apple chips presented in November” | NOW

The first MacBooks running on Apple chips will be presented in November, reports Bloomberg Friday based on insiders.

Apple announced earlier this year to start making computers with self-designed chips. The company has been using its own chips in its phones and tablets for some time.

Earlier this year, the computer maker already rented Mac Minis with Apple chips to developers so that they can prepare their software for them. The MacBooks would be the first products with the processors to be sold to consumers.

Apple promises that the chips are faster and more energy efficient than what is now used in Macs. The company will also continue to sell computers with Intel chips in the coming years.

According to Bloomberg more new Apple products would be announced in November. This may include wireless headphones and a smaller smart speaker from the company.

On October 13, Apple will most likely present the iPhone 12, which will be sold in four variations.
