Rookie starts with Nicky (Matteo Simoni), a motorcycle racer daredevil who sees his world collapse in a major accident. Together with his sister-in-law Vero (Veerle Baetens) and her son Charlie (Valentijn Braeckman), he tries to get his life back on track. But Nicky is addicted to adrenaline and kicks and tries to realize his racing dreams through Charlie.
