Dr. Luis Fernando Ramírez passed away this Friday from covid-19. The information was provided by Javier Cabrera, director of Health of the Lara state, in a bulletin.
This would be the first doctor killed by covid-19 in Lara state, and the second fatality of the outbreak in Torres municipality.
Ramírez, who was part of the Carora Polyclinic, was among the doctors who treated a 64-year-old patient, number 57 with covid-19 in Carora.
In Lara they launched a campaign in favor of this health professional, who was hospitalized in the intensive care unit of a clinic in Barquisimeto.
The deceased represents the sixth doctor killed by covid-19 in the country, according to statistics from the Lara State Medical College.
