Agents of fire brigade They have been fighting for more than three hours to rescue a child who fell into a water well that would be between 20 to 30 meters deep in a park in the Roma urbanization in the Lima area.

The two-year-old boy was with his parents when he fell into the well at approximately 2:30 pm on Sunday. The park is located on Avenida Universitaria, near the intersection with Avenida Argentina.

According to witnesses, the boy fell when he was walking next to his mother, apparently after a cover hidden under the ground and grass gave way to the minor’s path.

After the parents’ request for help, a first group of firefighters arrived at the scene and began the rescue work with pickaxes and lamps. However, due to the depth of the well they asked for help and so far about 10 fire units have reached the emergency zone.

A front digger has also arrived at the site to assist with the rescue of the child.

Neighbors of the urbanization told RPP Noticias that they were unaware of the existence of a well in the park, so they believe that it would be closed and that a similar accident never occurred before.
