Miami Mayor Francis Suarez confirmed to the AP that the victim was indeed the firefighter’s daughter. He was working with the search and rescue team last night when they found his daughter’s body.
Another 128 people missing
Rescuers are speeding up their action as the weather forecast is not good. Hurricane Elsa is now en route to South Florida and is likely to make landfall as a tropical storm on Tuesday. The search for 128 missing persons is still ongoing. It is not known whether all those missing were indeed present in the complex in Surfside when it collapsed.

The complex, the Champlain Towers South in Surfside, near Miami, collapsed last Thursday. The cause is still being sought. The fear is that the death toll will continue to rise. So far, no one has been rescued alive from the rubble, the chances of that happening are slim.
