On Friday, October 30, 2020, around 3:30 p.m., a wooden wall next to an apartment building caught fire in Neustadt.
A local resident said she saw smoke and flames coming out of a window on the ground floor.
As it turned out later, only a wooden windbreak, which was on the left side of an apartment building, caught fire. The reason for this was ash that had not yet cooled down, which was transferred to a paper bag and placed next to the windbreak wall. The ashes started to glow again due to a light wind and ignited the paper bag and then the wooden boards of the windbreak wall.
The resulting property damage amounts to approx. 500.00 EUR.
